PRAYER…
Prayer is one of the most powerful tools available to all Christians.
Prayer is one of the most misunderstood and underutilized aspects of the Christian life.
This weekend, as we dive into our new series, STRONGER ~ training for the win, I’ll be talking about:
What is prayer?
What is the purpose of prayer?
How do you pray?
What should I pray for?
When should I pray?
How do I get started?
Bring a pen to take notes…we will cover a lot of ground.
If we work hard to align (within us) and apply (to daily life) what we learn from scripture regarding prayer, it will change our lives.
See you this weekend,
Pastor Ken

Tressel & Clarett ~ their story...their relationship...their faith
This weekend, I have the privilege of interviewing two Ohio State football legends, Coach Jim Tressel and Maurice Clarett. Their story is so much bigger than football. It's a story of climbing to the top of the mountain, walking through the valley, and now climbing a mountain of far greater significance than a mere National Championship title.
I will be exploring how their relationship has changed through the years from coach/player to mentor/student, then to friends, and finally to partners; and the role faith has played in both of their lives. For these two men, their greatest days are still before them, as their dreams for life and Making a Difference in today's culture are far greater than their memories.
This would be a great weekend to invite a friend! Jesus Christ might just change their life forever because of what will happen this weekend at Cypress!
Below is the schedule for the weekend:
AD Campus:
Saturday 5:00 & 6:30 PM - Maurice Clarett
Sunday 8:30, 10:00 & 11:30 AM - Coach Tressel & Maurice Clarett
Sunday 6:00 PM - Coach Tressel
Dublin Campus:
Sunday 10:00 AM - Video Interview - Coach Tressel & Maurice Clarett
See you soon,
Pastor Ken

How does Kenny Rogers' hit song of 1978 relate to this weekend?
In Kenny Rogers’ hit song, The Gambler, there’s a line that states, "You've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em..." (Be honest…how many of you are humming the tune in your head right now?) J
Rogers stumbled upon one of the important questions of life. When do you stay the course, and when do you walk away? Our life story, in so many important categories of life and living (relationships, business, finances, etc.), is shaped by the choices and decisions we make based upon that one question. The Bible is full of examples of people who did the right thing and stayed, while others did the right thing and walked away.
This weekend, we will be looking at the keys to help us choose wisely…when should I stay put? and when should I be willing to walk away?…so God's best can become true.
See you soon,
Pastor Ken

Choosing TO STOP...
Okay, let’s be honest. How many of you wished you were on a tropical beach this past week when it was -25? I know I sure did!
Now that we are experiencing a heat wave, we are preparing to dig deeper into the question of what is it that I Wish/long for in life. More importantly, what is it that God would want me to wish/long for in life. As the subtitle indicates (I Wish…choices that lead to change), it’s our choices that will eventually lead to change.
I am so looking forward to sharing this week about how choosing “TO STOP” can actually propel you further than you ever imagined!
See you this weekend,
Pastor Ken
PS. This would be a great week to bring a friend and tissues as I just watched the recap video from our Christmas offering…get ready is all I can say.

What do you wish for?
I WISH…
There are so many things I wish for in life. What do you wish for? Are you willing to share your list? If you’re like me, you will share part of your list but not all of it.
I’m convinced that some things I wish for would be helpful, while others might not be. There are some things I wish for that, quite honestly, I’m not willing to put in the time or discipline myself to see them become reality. There are other areas of my life where I wish and sincerely long for change, but I don’t know with confidence how to get from here to there. These are some of the issues we will be dealing with over the next few weeks.
I wish…but it will take more than a wish to get us there. Choices lead to change. This is a great weekend to bring a friend as we kick off this new series.
Also, don’t forget this is the weekend for our new service times!
