Last week, Serena bought some fresh corn, tomatoes, and melon at a farmer’s market. The melon looked great on the outside but, when we cut it, we discovered that the inside was beginning to rot. As my disappointment sank in, I began to think…I don’t ever recall seeing what appeared to be a rotten fruit or vegetable on the outside that turned out to be great on the inside. Yet, on occasion, we are tricked by a “good” outside and then find the inside doesn’t live up to our expectations!
We are wrapping up our summer series by looking at the passage of scripture where Jesus says, “Good trees produce good fruit while bad trees produce bad fruit.” How do we avoid being “tricked” in life and how do we make sure we’re producing the best possible fruit in our own lives? What should we look for in others and what do we need to work on ourselves? Come and find out this weekend!
See you soon,
Pastor Ken
